I read on another thread someone had managed to get discount from Porsche on a 718 S which they flipped over to a gts.

On other threads I’ve read you can get 1%-3% discount off new Porsche but it’s very hush hush and you have to know the right people to ask.

My GTS spec is coming out at £76k (£77k OTR) - I’m in no rush for one (happy to wait til next Summer if need be) am I dreaming thinking I’ll get anything extra thrown in or discounted?

If I can’t get discount I’ll potentially just have to strip off some of the options I wanted like LED Lights - or not go GTS and just get an S.

PS. Anyone used www.coast2coastcars.co.uk before? They’ve added the GTS now

I’ve used their quotes to negotiate discounts at main dealers on both an M3 and 718CS wink

I’m gonna get a quote of c2c on my GTS spec see what gives. I won’t be doing finance, so going to aim for a May/June delivery - by which time I should be in a position to buy it outright

What’s the deal with C2C, is it like Drivethedeal where it’s OPCs making the offer? Says a £1,800 discount for a GTS, whereas OPCs themselves say no discount.

Placed my deposit today but having asked a few OPCs (and “walked away” from all but one), all day there is no chance of a discount...

Need to know if I can ask with any authority before finalising!!

If C2C are cheaper, and my local OPC won't match - I'll just order from C2C

Best way to get a deal on a car like a 718 GTS (which I reckon will be near impossible from an OPC or via C2C)...is to order it and then when it comes close to delivery date see if they'll give you something off for taking their finance.

I bought from a dealer that knows my friend and the discount is a gesture of goodwill as they wasn't offering off for the GTS. Phone wolverhampton that was willing to do deal amazing £500 off it...

Seen a photo of your 718 on the other thread, looks awesome that. What are those lights? Just standard?

They only sold around 400 981 gts's so they are unlikely to sell many more 718's , i doubt if they will be keen to offer any discount?

C2C is simply an internet portal for dealers to offer a discount.

I saved 22% on my last X5 and had the C2C dealer and my local both fighting for the business so win win for me.

You don’t actually buy from C2C, you are effectively introduced to an OPC and pay C2C a small amount for the pleasure. It’s legit and dealers pay to be a C2C supplier.

Only downside is the OPC may well be on the other side of the country however you can print out the quote and use it to negotiate locally or simply get a train/plane/taxi/walk or run to pick your car up.

Personally I wouldn’t hesitate using them again.
