new Tires for a Cayman 987c
Discussion
Hello together,
I need new tires for my Cayman 987c.
The size on the front is 235/40 18 and 265/40 18 at the back. I thought the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2/3 would be very good.
As I found out, there are no new Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 Tires for the Size 265/40 18.
So my question is, what do you think would be better: Front GY Asymmetric 3, back GY Asymmetric 2 or both front and back GY Asymmetric 2?
I had the GY Asymmetric 2 on my BMW and I was really happy with them.
If you think the GY dont make sense for this size, I would appreciative recommendation for a better alternative.
Edit: The car doesnt go to a racing area. It´s just a mix between City and Autobahn.
Best Regards

Thanks a lot for your answers. I really appreciate that!
I also heard about the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S but it seems to be the same problem which I have also for the new GY´s Asymmetric 3, that the Tires are not produced for the size 265 40 18.
From Michelin I found the “Michelin Pilot Sport PS2” for my sizes. Don´t get me wrong, but the question is if the “Michelin Pilot Sport PS2” are really better than the “GY´s Asymmetric 2” to explain a price difference of over 100€. For sure safety and the feeling is more important than 100€, but as long aa there really is a benefit.
Maybe I would go with the GY´s and have a look how they work.
