Hi

looking at buying a Porsche Approved Used Boxster. One of the things that's got me a little worried is that its had 3 previous owners in 3 years at 17K miles.

Is there anything that stands out as unusual about that or am I being a little cautious? I don't believe its a demo vehicle.

Cheers

I don't see why the number or previous owners bothers people. Unless it's had one owner from new then everything else is the same.

People buy these cars as weekend cars. Especially for some Summer fun. So it's not surprise to me that they swap hands quite often.

As above, its very common for any sports car to have a lot of owners as a lot of people only run the car for one summer/one year then move onto something else having "ticked the porsche" box.

If its being sold by an OPC with warranty then you shouldnt have much to worry about.

As above when it comes to anything sporty/specialist/expensive - as long as the history checks out and the condition, then shouldn't be an issue. People buy them new as the must have, keep for a year and buy the next greatest and latest. Not everyone is a petrol head like us who buys a car for the performance, etc

If you are buying from an OPC you can be sure it meets their quality requirements, otherwise it would have not been put on the forecourt.

My guess from the low mileage is that people sold it simply because they weren’t using it enough.
