'Sticky' brake pedal

Hello all, unusual one here.
First hot day of the year I went to jump in the car after work, where it had been exposed to the sun all day, and found the pedal wasn't returning to the 'top' position, thus leaving the brakes lightly engaged. I pumped the breaks a few times but it wasn't making a huge difference. I inspected 'down under', checked the foot air pipes weren't pushing against the pedal, which they weren't, and could see no other obstruction. After ten minutes or so normal operation resumed.
No issues for the next few days until I returned to my car on Saturday after leaving it in Lamberhurst golf club car park all day (again in the sun with the roof up), brake pedal not fully returning. I stop inspect, and nothing is blocking.
In short, does anyone know the cause of this, and ideally a remedy. I feel it's probably the something sticking at the hinge on the pedal box, but I can't get to it as it appears to be mounted well up in the dash.
Thoughts and advice hugely appreciated.

Hi I had mine done about 6 weeks ago.
I got a price from Porsche Bristol of £250.
I normally take my car to a local independent who has worked on Porsche's for years.
I took it to him and he said it was a pain in the arse to do, i cant remember how long it took him but it was a long time.
He ended up charging me ...... £254!!
He did change the shaft as well as the bushes.
I guess i am saying unless you are good at diy i would bite the bullet and take it to a main stealer.
Just my 2p's worth.

What others have said and you have worked out it is 
Just to add another perspective for the "should i extend my warranty or not?" debate that always goes on. I'm guessing you've made a conscious decision not to bother extending. It's still working out cheaper for you if all you're going to get is a £250 bill

Also happened to me last week during the record heat in London. The car was actually in for its service, so the fault developed when they moved it round for me to collect. Ended up leaving it there over the weekend until they could schedule it in again.
Could have driven it home had I realised you just need to turn the aircon on in the foot well to cool the bush down.
Initially quoted £400! their excuse being it's a manual so takes longer than a PDK (part is only £8.50) but they came down to £300 which I accepted for the convenience as they already had the car and had lent me a Macan S to play with over the weekend.
