Took delivery of my GTS and been tinkering with the settings etc. One thing I appeared to have missed of my spec is folding mirrors, and kinda wish I had them now. Would it be a big job/possible to retrofit them?

I don't believe they're on the Tequipment list, so likely not a simple retrofit.

Thanks for swift reply. I thought that may have been the case - ah well.

Do they fold in manually?

I would have thought this was just software and therefore retrofittable ? But maybe there is some sort of relay required ?

Its a shame as they do look cool, sort of rotating and folding at the same time.

I found it weird at first that they did not go back on remote unlocking but only when the ignition is actually started but you get used to it.

My OPC did not check final spec with me before order locked down. I was waiting for PEC to make final choices - folding mirrors would have definitely been on my list. So disappointed not to have had exact spec, but excited that less than a month to wait now.

no chance, probably require a new wiring loom that goes around the whole car, some kind of software coding and new control switch. with porsche price , it might end up 10x the option cost

I encountered a similar problem as I didn't get climate. I'd previously had it on my Macan and assumed it was already on the Cayman. I've suggested to my OPC that they incorporate some system into their future configurations for everyone so we don't forget.

Taking the time to look at every option on the configurator, and what it means/does, is well worth the effort and is what you should do for every new car. You can't rely on the salesperson, all they want is your Porsche Code.

I went through the list several times before lockdown on my car to be sure I hadn't missed anything, and as a result I have no spec regrets.
