Ive recently bought a 981s boxster with factory fitted sports exhaust when i press button i cant hear any difference whatsoever should it be easily noticeable?

Definitely. I would say your exhaust valves may be stuck if there is no audible difference.

Some difference up to 3k revs and loads of difference above that.

Also, pops and bangs are 10x more. Too much anywhere but the open roads. Always knock it off in towns as sounds daft.

It’s really the combination of the sport button and the Pse button that gives the most impact with the sport exhaust.

But it’s easy to check if the valves are stuck. Look under the back of the car, the valves are easily visible in be back corners, eyeball them with the engine off, then start the engine and look under the back corners and check the position changes with the Pse button.

There is very minimal difference in my opinion between having the exhaust on or off, have yet to find any video that shows otherwise. Far too quiet in my opinion smile I've got a new exhaust on order.

If similar to that on the GT4, PSE adds very little “noise” at low revs— apart from a few pops/bangs on lift off..... The meat comes above 4K revs when the character change is quite noticeable.... wink You certainly won’t notice ANYTHING at idle (unlike my 987 Spyder— where PSE added a gutteral “growl” even at low engine speeds.....!!)

You children with your pops and bangs. biggrin I'd rather listen to flat six orchestral music, not a rorty exhaust. Even though I have one on my CGTS.
