It’s really the combination of the sport button and the Pse button that gives the most impact with the sport exhaust.
But it’s easy to check if the valves are stuck. Look under the back of the car, the valves are easily visible in be back corners, eyeball them with the engine off, then start the engine and look under the back corners and check the position changes with the Pse button.

If similar to that on the GT4, PSE adds very little “noise” at low revs— apart from a few pops/bangs on lift off..... The meat comes above 4K revs when the character change is quite noticeable....

I've got a new exhaust on order.
I'd rather listen to flat six orchestral music, not a rorty exhaust. Even though I have one on my CGTS.
