Morning all

Just had a minor service on my Cayman at an OPC and looking at the Porsche service schedule it looks like I should have been given a 1 litre top up bottle of Mobil 1. Before I contact the dealer I just wanted to check I hadn't misunderstood the service schedule.

Has anyone on here been given a top up pack as part of a service?

Cheers.

Just ring them and be nice. I must say, you'll spend more on petrol going to pick it up than it costs.

OPC labour rates are so high, they should give out litres of Scotch not oil, on pick up

It’s not free. Better to buy your own for a third of the price. Assuming they haven’t charged you for it already.

Thanks guys. Found it in a black pouch velcroed to the side of the front boot.

And yeah, not cheap £14.75 a litre but not the worst pricing I've seen from main dealers.

The part that annoys me a little bit is that my OPC often try to put a second pouch and bottle right next to the existing one which has never been opened.

I have never had to top up the oil between services in 7 years of owning my 987, so I doubt I am going to need to use two bottles!

At £14.75, it's a bargain ho ho!

Pouch (with dip stick wipe) retails for £15 and the oil is £18/litre at Porscheshop.

You don't have to accept it, trouble is you don't often realize they have supplied and charged you for it until days later.
