Hey all,

I'm wondering if anyone on here has had an issue with a light crackling/rattle coming from their boot area on their 718 Cayman. Oddly it seems to appear once the car is up to temperature.

I've seen a video on YT which seems similar on a 981 - but there is no solution.

Things I've tried so far:
- Removed fuse box cover/ and the same cover the opposite side in the boot
- Removed privacy shelf
- Removed oil/water covers
- Adjusted boot stops
- Cleaned and oil gas struts
- Open/closed the storage compartments

As it's my daily, and not driving 9/10ths everywhere, it's annoying the hell out of me when I don't have the radio on or the windows down.

Any help would be appreciated people. Trying to avoid taking it to the dealers if I can.

Thanks all

Just in case anyone else is experiencing the same thing, I may have cracked it. Transpires it’s the rubber boot stops halfway up the trunck which I’ve lubricated with gummi pflege. On a drive home tonight seemed to cure it, for now anyway! wink
