Blue hood cleaning/colouring

I have got a 987 Boxster with a blue hood. It's in reasonable shape but is a little faded and has a few marks on it. Has anyone restored one of these using the commonly available products? Any recommendations?

I bought the Autoglym kit years ago, but haven't used it. Renovo gets good reviews, but some of them say that their blue colour is too dark, almost black.
