981 seats in a 987?

Hi All,

I have just found out to my disgust that my Boxster 987 has half Alcantara half Leatherette seats. How and why were Porsche using leatherette in the Boxster?
I am looking for alternatives so wondered if 981 seats fit? what year 911 seats? any others?

I want black and need to be heated as mine currently are.

Why not get someone to recover them? Got to be cheaper than two new seats, unless you need to change those as well.

For how long have you had your car? Didn't you notice this when you bought it?
And is it only bothering now you know it, or did it not feel right from the day 1 of ownership?

Without really knowing it, I don't think you can fit 981 seats because of the airbag.
I'd say that any 9X7 seat should work tough! Also a popular seat is the Recaro Pole Position!

I have owned for nearly a year and just thought it wasn't the best leather, as I like the Alcantara didn't pay much attention.

I have had a viewing on my car as selling it and they commented which made me look into it.

So you are selling the car? I wouldn't bother changing anything!

AFAIK much of the standard seat in both the base and S 981 is leatherette.
