Hi guys

Just wanted to say hello to everyone on the forum.
This is my second Porsche, I used to own a 2004 996 C4S tip a few years ago and then in a moment of madness I sold it last Jan.
Regretted it as soon as the happy owner drove off in it so vowed to get back into a Porsche again soon.

I usually lurk on the 911uk forums and I have my return posting there but right now, the site is down (for me at least) so here are some details about the car.

2006 987.1 cayman 3.4 S 6-speed manual
Black coachwork , black leather, black wheel - looks very stealthy!
Sports Chrono plus package
ASK package
PCM2
PSM
PASM
Sports seats
Bi-Xenons
19" carrera sport alloys
Silver dials
Extended leather (I think?)
No PSE but it has a Miltek? exhaust on it which sounds very sporty! (I haven't checked the make yet)

My history
The C4S had had a Hartech rebuild, that's why I bought it. The same treatment was given to my cayman. It was Hartech's own car, not a customer's so when I rang Grant at Hartech, he said the engine had had a FULL rebuild, all 6 cylinders etc, etc so that was reassuring.

The car sits at 111K, the rebuild was done in 2015 at 82K. So around 30K on a rebuilt engine (by arguably the best people for rebuilds), tick.

With that sort of mileage, I thought the bodywork would need attention. No worries! The car is immaculate, inside and out. No dents at all and the paint in fantastic condition, tick

History is very good, appears to have been very well looked after with all the usual stuff (rads/condensers, tyres etc) done fairly recently, tick.

Price was towards the bottom end of the cayman prices. There were cars with much lower mileages but not half as good a condition as mine, nor did they have any kind of rebuild. Not saying they are bad cars but I just wanted that surety of some peace of mind I guess, esp on early 3.4s (most likely to have scoring issues by all accounts I've read). Tick!

So, all in all, I went on condition and history, mileage didn't bother me and I'm enjoying every day with it!
Happy days!

Trying to upload some pictures but for some reason, not letting me...

They are great little cars, I bought a low spec 2.7 in Oct last year, can't stop driving it, my original plan was to only put about 5k a year on it, but have been using it a lot on my 90 mile daily commute just because it makes me smile.

Thanks guys, please let me know if you can see this folder with some pics in it.
These are the sellers pics, I haven't had a chance to clean it since I bought it home!

Since you have had a Porsche 911 in the past, you can appreciate the new balance of the 987.1. How is your suspension, as that is my key to driving my car. The big debate here in the US, is the PASM vs Coilovers, which I have (Ohlins). My car did not have PASM, so I went this route, but now that TPC/DSC has come out a few years ago, its made the PASM system the go to suspension as you can program the controller to your liking. Just a thought before major modifications start.

Suspension is fantastic.
I know some suspension components were replaced fairly recently, then new tyres and full geo was set up so right now, it rides and handles beautifully.
I haven't really tested the PASM thoroughly enough yet but the little I've driven of it has really impressed me. I said on my old stamping ground (911uk) that I felt it's more agile and responsive than my old 911 996 C4S. Im my opinion of course!
