987.2 ground clearance at centre

I’m currently trying to work out whether a Cayman 2.9 09-12 will scrape when parking on my steeply sloping (downwards) drive. It’s the clincher before I take the plunge!

Can anyone please help by offering up the ground clearance at the centre please? Can’t seem to find definative measurements online. Front and rear clearance should be ok, it’s whether I beach the thing in the middle parking it.

I have a gen 2 Cayman. I scraped mine badly by reversing into a steel driveway. The thing is it didn’t scrape the centre, but the underside of the front side skirts that sit under the bumper. Granted mine is lowered

There is a minimum clearance value in the owners handbook. From memory it’s around 4 inches. I seem to remember it is just in front of the front wheels.

As above I find it’s the front splitter that’s the first to hit the ground on an angled drive.

I have a Gen 2 (2009) Boxster. The middle sits 132mm from the ground. Mine has passive springs / dampers, the cars with PASM adaptive dampers sit 10mm lower.

Cheers, that’s helpful. Think the Cayman is slightly higher which may help. Current option is to put a speed bump part way down the drive to lift the front up and stop the middle catching as I drive on!
