987.1 Speedo Pinout

I want to tap into the RPM / Tacho .. and instead of piggybacking in the a coil on the ECU I wondered if anyone knew if it was a dedicated wire in the speedo loom?

I've tried the OBD port, but they don't seem to be wired up like the 986.

Here is an example of what I want to do on a 997, without tapping into the ECU.
