Hi all,

I just bought some Zunsport front grills to protect the rads behind those gaping intakes - they seem well made, but they don't fit :-(

I carefully bought the grills to accommodate the parking sensors, but didn't notice the grills are to fit intakes below a long flat light strip, rather than the round light design within the intake on my car - I assumed my car was standard front bumper / intake.

Thing is, I'm not sure why my car is different - browsing images of 981 seems to show a mix of flat strips and round lights. I'm not sure if this a model revision, model differentiation (mine's a 2015 Cayman S), or an upgrade (presumably the light strip being the upgrade option as it's more fancy?).

What is the reason for the difference in light design? Thanks.

Your car has the regular S bumper. It sounds like you've been sent the GTS grilles by mistake, or you ordered the wrong ones. These are the ones you want:

You have bought boxster grills, the bumpers are different to a cayman ;-)

Ack! You're right, thank you. I had just search 981, and I had assumed (incorrectly) that they were the same, as only the Boxster parts were shown.

I'll get them swapped - thankfully Zunsport have a good reputation for Customer Service!

Should they not take the grilles back, let me know what you will take for them please?

I had not realised you had bought them new, yes Zunsport are very friendly to deal with and I’m sure they will swap them for you ;-)

Zunsport have indeed been very responsive and obliging - this is all of my own making.

Because I need the grills before an upcoming road trip to Scotland next week, I've ordered the correct set separately, and I've returned the wrong ones for a refund.

My assumption that the 981 Cayman and Boxster were identical below the roofline was obviously wrong!

Thanks all.
