Does anyone pls have a tyre recommendation for a 2011 Boxster? It’s got Continental Sports on, but apparently they are not readily available in the UK at the moment .....
What alternatives would people recommend please ....just general road use....nothing hardcore!!!

Many thanks

Michelin Pilot Sport 4 Ss. It's a no brainer.

Thx ....Michelin have just toldl me they don’t make a Pilot Sport S in a 235/40 ZR18 & 265/40 ZR18 combination....they recommend the Pilot Sport 2 in these sizes???

I'd go with that then, unless it's the Cup tyre.

Goodyear F1 A2. Great for road use. Have never given me a scary moment.

Camskill show Continental tyres as 6 days lead time assuming you have 17inch rims.

Again, Camskill have both sizes on 5 day lead time. When I last tried to get tyres from normal sources, I was told there are so few Cayman/ boxsters that they cannot order them. Camskill have a better arrangement and get them shipped direct from Germany.

I’m also a convert to the Goodyear Eagle F1s, which a lot of people seem to like, including myself, for their lower road noise and compliant ride characteristics.
Also seem to be very good value.
However, no idea if it is available in your required sizes.

Which version of the F1 is best to use. V3 seems to have higher grip scores than V2 so assume V3 is now the one to get ?

I've only used F1 A2 (not A3) on my TTS and now Cayman 981. I recall that switching from Conti SC2's to SC3's on my BMWs was fine, no difference. But SC5s wore out in half the time. I'd need to see some opinions from F1 A3 users to switch from A2s but I guess A2s will be discontinued at some point? A2s score higher than A3 in Goodyear's reviews (link below).

Then there's F1 A5, F1 Supersport and Supersport R!: https://www.goodyear.eu/en_gb/consumer/tires/car.h...

In other words, I can only vouch for A2s over 25k miles on the TTS and 30k on the Cayman.

I went from PS2 to F1 on mine and you do lose some precision but gain compliance and reduced road noise. I don't miss them as such, but if they were the same price as one another would opt for the precision of the PS2 - but they were around 50% more £ than the F1's when I was needing them (following an embarrassing, idiotic, moronic MOT failure) so a financial decision had to be made - and the Mrs made it!!

Just found this. Assuming its not biased the A3 looks like it addresses the imprecise tyre wall issue. think i will give them a go next refit. http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Goodyear/Eagle-F...
