HI Guys, completely new to the Forum, just bought a 2006 987 S …. not taken delivery yet! Not new to Porsche as I had a very special 944SE Turbo Silverrose (in white... one of only 2 produced)for about 8 years . spent a lot of time on the Titanic Forum during ownership.
On the Cayman 60 K and sold to the previous owner by Williams Crawford I will need to address the issue of phone connectivity and Ipod connection. I haven't yet had a good detailed look to see whats there other than its a BOSE system. Where do I start with these items and should I just forget about the Sat Nav and use Google maps

I got a Pioneer head unit with apple play and bluetooth on my 987.1
But i think its more of an issue with Bose system due to issues with the fibre optic cables -should get more info on boxa.net

i And quite a few others installed one of these

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bluetooth-Handsfree-Adapt...

But it seems to be unavailable, it could also be found on eBay so have a look.

It replaces the CD multichanger and works brilliantly, even with Bose. Simple t reverse if needed.

Was £118

This unit "Bluetooth USB Adapter For Porsche 911 Boxster Cayman Cayenne PCM 2.0 2.1 Car Kit" appears on eBay at £118. from a UK source with quite high feedback ratings. However unit appears to emanate from CHINA . Any thoughts... is it a copy or is that where they are sourced? Can a numpty install it?

It's also what I did. Big touch screen and maps / reverse cam / iPhone&Android integration.

Now have 2 USB, a HDMI and 3.5 aux inputs.

Bose isn't really any different in procedure, just one of the box of wires is x20 the price.

Yep that's the one.

Allegedly a numpty can, but I chickened out and got my specialist to do it whilst in for a service.
