Porsche Gen 2 GT4 Cup Car
Discussion
At Snetterton, on Wednesday I had a few sessions in this new, fresh out the box, GT4 Cup .
I have limited experience on slicks but this was a fun track car, great balance, consistent brakes ( ferrous iron I believe, some special iron disks), good steering, fast PDK attached to 3.8 litres 425 bhp boxer 6.
The roll cage is substantial as is the lock in place Recaro seats.
Fun car, not overpowered and thus with the outstanding balance great fun, lots of front and rear grip with the feedback giving you no doubt as to whats going on.
The car was owned and run by in2racing.....professional, knowledgeable and user-friendly, they know their stuff for sure.

So it's a Clubsport ..
Porsche were quoting £85 k per year to race if the owner does all the legwork ... £125k supported, and half the cost of a GT3 Cup ...
Yep correct. Porsche Sprint Challenge. Porsche were quoting £85 k per year to race if the owner does all the legwork ... £125k supported, and half the cost of a GT3 Cup ...
I went to the launch at Porsche Experience Centre.
Just to also say this car is the full clubsport race car, in the UK the Trackday version is not available and also it is not to be confused with this marketing exercise…
