Fine usage sir! Here’s to the next 120k

Of course, if some are to believed, your car is now worthless and will never be able to be sold 😂😂😂

Nobody (here) cares about it’s market value - It’s worth more to me and I have loved every single mile I have driven in it (119,300) - will be keeping it until the planet’s petrol supply runs out lol

It looks as good as the day I bought it, with 700 miles on it. It’s never missed a beat and it makes me feel good every time I look at it.

If I had another £44k (what I paid for it in 2011) I am not sure what I would buy. Nothing I see, comes close.

Favourite thread of the week.

When you have GT cars losing £10k if they do 10k miles or something stupid like that you can't put a price on those 120k miles/memories you've done.....well it's not £120k anyway smile

Now for something at the other end of the scale - 302 miles!

Thumbs up for clocking some serious miles on it - I'd be proud of that!

There’s not a lot of cars I love at that price point but I noticed that R8 V10 now at that price is a pretty sweet drive and basically 95% of a Gallardo. They drive bloody nicely and are good for 560BHP with just software. Just sayin.

What, no engine failure and £10k+ rebuild? Unheard of!

if you read his posts he has had to do brakes a few times by now, the car needs £4k sus rebuild and he has had the exhaust done.
So the £10k is spread out he looks after his car.

Actually ....

The car does not NEED a £4k suspension installation - as it drives perfectly and is checked thoroughly every year, but it’s something on my todo list this

The exhaust issue was a £100 PSE actuator - OPC wanted £3.5k - would have been £80 had I had a ramp of my own - the three mounting bolts were a 8itch

All service bits have been done as and when needed - think its on its third set of brakes iirc tyres last a good 20k

Nothing else to report tbh

Impressed!

Where did you get the PSE actuator and is it a pig to change?

I got the part number from a USA based site - OPC UK would not give me the part number as they said it was not available separately - after getting the part number - I went to an OPC and ordered the part - the bolts are a little tricky to get to - I would advise a mirror + jacking the rear of the car right up and a range of sockets

My servicing garage did it in 3 mins - I gave em £20 for beer

The actuator is a standard car part - probably available from VW/AUDI etc for less that £40
