Turned the key in the door lock this morning (remote hasn't worked in years) and something gave internally in the mechanism so now the key just twists 1/4 turn each way with no resistance and doesn't do anything.
Called the AA, who after a fair amount of effort got a bent bit of coat hanger past the window seal to the hard top and managed to pull the internal handle, but that didn't release the door either. Used my van to get to work today, then called into the local OPC on the way home and asked them, but they didn't know how to get in either.
Anyone have any suggestions for gaining entry before I get to the "brick through the driver's side window" solution so I can put the key in the ignition to turn it on, then press the central locking button to release the door locks?
