Hi
My first post so bear with me.
I have a gen 2 2010 base boxster with 18 inch wheels.
I bought a second set of wheels -17 inch-from ebay - which I thought would fit- but have since been told they are gen 1 and won't fit. The code is 987.362.122.05
When I tried to fit them they touched the caliper- Can i get round this or do I put them back for sale?
Thanks

edc

Use a spacer. Look at the 'ET' offset stamped onto each wheel and get a spacer of at least the difference between the 2 values of old Vs new wheel. ET may be different front to back.

try google for

will they fit . com

that has a calculator to let you know how the et will be affected

then you can sort from there.

however, if the inside of the wheel is too small and touching the brakes you may well be buggered....

Thought the answers to your question on the PCGB foum were definitive enough?

The answers on both have been really helpful in increasing my understanding.
Apologies if I have broken a rule by asking the same question on 2 sites-
