A few weeks ago I bought what I think is a fundamentally good 986S but it was in the midst of the hot, dry spell so I didn’t notice the leak I’ve since found!
It’s not coming from any blocked drains, instead from the point where the window, windscreen surround and roof meet. I’ll be home this afternoon and happy to take some pictures of the area.
I’m just wondering, has anyone had this before? I feel that maybe it’s due to the seal between the roof and windscreen surround but I don’t know if this can be removed or modified and I don’t want to mess with it and make it worse.
Any thoughts or requests for pictures of the area will be welcome.
Just to add: shortly before I bought the car, it had a roof repair (guide pins and some other mechanical bits) due to the roof not working. I can check the invoice for full details. I’m thinking that the previous owner and the garage didn’t know it wasn’t sealing properly following the repair as it was done during the dry period.
I have contacted the garage to see what they can tell me and waiting to hear back. Just wondered if anyone had any other ideas/experience in the meantime.
Thanks
