Hi everyone, first time poster here!

I bought my first Porsche a few months back and love it! But ... I want to move 2 road bikes on the roof. Googling seems to turn up lots of options for older cars but 17 on seems nothing exists.

Can anyone tell me if anything exists, where I might get one and any experiences you have please ?

Best
Derek.

You're quite right, there's nothing official to fix to your car.

I have a 2018 CaymanS now but used to own the Porsche roof bars for my 911 997. They were perfect on that car because it had the roof fixtures to accept the mountings but the later Caymans don't have them as you know.

I've seen people with 987 Caymans with the SeaSucker and there's one pictured here on a 981

Seasucker

but only you can decide whether you want to attach a sucker to your roof like that.

I have one - used it a lot on my old M235 was fine, i then had a JCW mini and it really didn’t work as the roof flexes too much.

I collected a 2017 718 yesterday - will report back once i’ve used it.....

Fitted this today - seems good, the roof in the middle has some flex, so I went as far back as I could - nice and stable once attached though.

Annoyingly my car has a rear wiper - so I have to make sure I never knock it on - there is an option in the settings to stop it coming on automatically when you have the front on and select reverse.

Blimey, that looks so unsafe. You sure about it?

it's an aero bike sans wheel will only weigh circa 15lbs

the suckers are 210 lb. pull-strength and made to use upto 45lbs bikes.

Knowing Porsche it would be a chargeable option!

If you spot a vintage or contemporary Porsche with the optional rear wiper, it is a safe bet that it is most likely driven by a true Porsche connoisseur.
