2001 986 Boxster 2.7 Tyre Choices

Hi all - I’m getting a bit of a runaround from the local tyre shops, trying to locate a full replacement set of 205/50 17 front 255/40 17 rears. Pirelli seems to a mismatched patterns ... Kwik fit are after almost 800 for some PS4s. 5000 miles a year use, mostly motorway, a few gentle country lanes - what do you guys use?

We bought a set of Michelin PS2 N3 in those sizes in July 2019 for £640.

I switched to 225/45/17 fronts on my 986 after reading several forums about this reducing understeer. Lots of info out there and I’m happy with the change. The 225/45/17s are cheaper as well which was a bonus.
