Why isn't this Boxster GTS selling
Discussion
We're currently debating over our next fun car - either going to be an A110 or a Boxster/Cayman. The Mrs really likes this

but it seems to have been on the market for a while which seems unusual for Ashgood cars - any thoughts?
I'm not that familiar with the various desirable spec nuances so wonder if it could be something to do with that.

Highish mileage and low spec. No Bluetooth means the standard audio which is said to be dire, no DAB. No sat nav.. No cruise or heated seats (significant in a Box). No climate (not such an issue in a convertible } Manuals aren't popular (but let's not start that debate again). https://www.ashgood.co.uk/vehicle-details/Used-Por...

All cars sell, so this means it’s too much money for the market.
For me
No GTS pack , imo GTS cars need GTS pack.
Painted trim, a 2nd hand no no.
Higher miles Porkers >30k miles need to be priced much cheaper.
If you like it make an offer, he likes to move cars on quick so will take an offer.
Last, manual 981 in a bit of no mans land now, the 987's have a following and can be £30k now days, the 718 has the 4.0l engine.
PDK 981 make more sense.
Then every cat and mouse has a Gt car these days.
With no GTS pack you can buy a Boxster S with less miles £5k to £8k cheaper.

Seems a good price to me.
The GTS has always been 6-8k more than an equivalent ‘S’, its up to you whether you think it’s worth the premium over the ‘S’ I didn’t and thus went for an S, but the market says it is worth it.
Seems a bit strange not having Bluetooth, let’s face it this should have been standard but I’ve seen very few examples where it wasn’t specced. If you can get over that omission then it’s about the cheapest 981 GTS I’ve seen, so could be a good buy for someone.

Agree whites a good Boxster colour and seller we bought our GTS in white mega spec over 15k of extras low mileage from OPC 16 months ago and it wasn't cheap but it's what was wanted.
Point is it will sell eventually to someone it's just a matter of who it suits but some are slower to sell with mileages and specs.

Maybe I should buy it... a manual gearbox is a lot more interesting than stuff like sat nav. In a couple of years time, who’s going to care about that Atari grade screen in comparison to whatever is out then in terms of infotainment? That stuff ages much quicker than all other aspects of the car. It’s going to be about what it drives like and sounds like.

While the ad doesn't state that it has PCM, the interior picture certainly looks like it does - pretty sure there's a 'Nav' and 'Map' button and you have that sim card slot in the middle that non-PCM cars don't have.Looks a nice car this - surprised it hasn’t sold as for me the light spec is fully reflected in the price.
If you want a manual 981 and don’t have an aversion to white what’s not to like!?
I think it does highlight the market as a whole is slow at the minute as demonstrated by slow 987 R / Spyder movement - particularly at +£40k
