OIL CHANGE

Can anyone explain to me why my 718 BGTS requires an oil change at 2 years or 20000 miles while my Macan 2.0 is telling me it wants an oil change at 8500 miles. They both use the same oil and the Macan does it’s fair share of long journeys as well as shorter trips around town so a predominance of short trips with a cold engine is not the issue !

They’re all variable based on all manner of use conditions but I agree 8500 miles doesn’t seem much. What time period is that over? Of all my cars I’ve only ever had one alert for an ‘early’ service.

The Macan is 18 months olld - bought new

Interesting. I guess that 2 litre engine has to work pretty hard in the Macan given its weight whereas most porsche’s have a higher power to weight ratio so their engines typically have an easier time of it.
