Can anybody recommend a good Porsche specialist SW Midlands

To look after a 981-era Boxster.

Preferably in the counties of Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire or south Shropshire.

Also considering using OPC in Tewkesbury. I have had good previous services at the Dick Lovett chain (for a different make) but I've decided to not go for a Porsche warranty and simply maintain it well and keep some £££ to one side.

Thought about Litchfield (yes, of GTR fame) on the other side of the M5 in Tewkesbury?

I've not used, but they do service Porsches, especially their modded ones and have links with the Tewkesbury OPC (who were very complimentary).

Hi! Nope - the Vantage S got chopped in for a motorhome in a knee-jerk reaction earlier this year. Don't regret it (the NC500 was fun, etc.) and it's a different experience. But inevitably, I got itchy for a replacement. Gave up finding a Vantage in a spec I wanted after 4-5 months, so changed direction and found a very nice 918 Boxster S. Collecting on Saturday.

Hopefully one day I'll return to having an Aston as they drove beautifully, but I am looking forward to a change and exploring a different car. Hope to do more with this than I did with the Vantage including track days, advanced driver training, etc.

Oh! Ooooooh! I didn't realise they were so close. Looked where they are on the map and see it's at a junction I've passed many times and didn't even realise.

Hmmmmmmmm... that may become very expensive knowledge

First, I want to become more familiar with the car and ensure it's all as it should be. But the flexibility of being out of a warranty is alluring!

He looks after quite a few gt3,caymans etc,does normal service as well

If you can cope with more 'central' shropshire, look up Dave Griffiths Racing. He's an all-rounder with Porsche, looking after everything from 917s through to moderns.

Living reasonably close to Tewkesbury and having our HQ based there, I can confirm that its a hotspot for absolutely fk all. Made up for by the array of great driving roads heading out west from there into Gloucestershire / Herefordshire....... and east if the Cotswolds and the sunday 40mph everywhere crew are your thing
