Hi- My wife currently has a TT convertible purchased new in 2018. Her dream car is a Boxster. I want to see if it would be possible to stretch to this. Can anyone share experience and rough figs they have managed to achieve? We would normally keep her cars for 3 years @ 8k miles per annum. TIA

You're probably looking at around a £5k deposit and £500 a month. GFV will be about £31k and interest rate 6.4%, so you can use those figures for your finance calculations.

I don't know why Porsche sporadically take the finance calculator off the configurator for certain models.

FWIW Supercar Finance always get under OPC rates, in my experience.

They are also incredibly nice to deal with.

I have literally just been quoted on a 2019 Boxster S for my wife that is currently up for sale with Porsche Cambridge at £60K. Both the below figures are with a £10K deposit and 6,000 miles a year. Rate 6.8% APR.

3 Year PCP
£836.15 per month. GFV £28,635.61

4 Year PCP
£721.61 per month. GFV £25,732.89.

That three year deal looks very expensive!
That's what I thought. I have contacted other finance providers who have said the GFVs are quite low at the moment, hence the monthlies being quite steep.

The asking price for the car feels very high and you are open to a very large chunk of depreciation on that.

Personally (and just my opinion) - you could have.........
A). a lightly spec'd 4.0 GTS Boxster for less than £10k more (a very different car), not sure what the finance would be as higher purchase price but better GFV. Or......
B). If you want an S, would you consider a lightly used 2017/2018 one for £40-£45k. Same car 2 year warranty, a lot less. As the 2019 one you are looking at will only have just over 2 yrs warranty left its feels very similar (well to me anyhow)

The Cambridge S is quite a nice spec but too expensive at £60k and almost 10,000 miles. Needs to be much nearer £50k in my view.

Just go to the Porsche website spec the car , hit summary then there’s an option to get a finance quote on the specced car. Worth trying a better model as GFV could be higher.

You are then borrowing a larger amount on a more expensive car so sometimes doesn't work out cheaper

Absolutely agree with you. I specced (sp?) a new Boxster S with the same spec as this one and it came out at just shy of £76K. Agreed this one is an expensive car and I would not pay that for it and would sooner buy a GTS 4.0, but this is for the wife so she doesn't need the GTS really. I would definitely consider a 2017/2018 Boxster S for the significant saving but it's finding one with the ideal spec. It took me 9 months to find my 981 GT4 as I wanted a certain colour and spec and thankfully I found one early this year.

This Boxster S has done 6,900 miles as they confirmed that to me but yes it needs to be nearer £50K, they're basing the price on the nearly £20K of options fitted to it. I wonder what the GFV would be if it only had say £3K - £4K of options scratchchin I bet it wouldn't be too far from the GFVs they quoted me.

I thought it was the black one with just under 10,000 miles. My advice is haggle hard.

i asked them to confirm the mileage yesterday and they said it was 6,900 miles. Agreed their advert states 9,900 which it may well be as I believe it's still being used as a demo/service manager daily car so the miles will rack up. If it was nearer £50K it would have sold by now.
