TVR to 718 Cayman S

Hi all, quick introduction to the forum...
After several years of TVR home restorations I had to let my beloved T350 go earlier in the year due to some bad luck. A little later things picked up and I decided instead of having 2 cars (TVR for weekends and 440i daily hack) I would go for 1 nice car. I am doing about 30k a year with personal and work and thought sod it, I really want to scratch the Porsche itch. Ended up with a 2017 718 Cayman S 7.5k miles. Bought on a whim outside of the network, sight unseen, never sat in one, never even seen one in the flesh. I’ve never been sensible.
What a bloody car. Couldn’t resist and put Michelin PS4S’s N0 all round, Soul exhaust tips and a Softronic remap too. Amazing thing. Parked up now as too nice to use for work. 1k snotter it’s replacement
I’ve read a lot on this forum and it’s been exceptionally helpful and no doubt I’ll be asking some daft questions. Thanks

Cayman
Similar car combo-ish. I have a T350C and have done for 10 years now, absolutely love the car. Will never sell, late teen kids fighting over it when I bite the bullet, but each to their own. Just sold my C43 AMG 2 weeks ago, a car which was awesome as a daily, and bought a 2016 Cayman S as my new daily. Only 6.5k miles and lots of extras. Totally love the Cayman, it is fantastic even though no faster than the AMG, just different size, handling and dynamics. Weather not been too kind so haven't really had a hard drive yet but still adore it. Very fortunate to be able to then go onto the TVR - so different, intoxicating, raw, an experience. Looking forward to growing into the Cayman ownership though and being very fortunate to be able to enjoy both worlds!

I would have loved to have been in a position to keep the TVR. A really visceral experience, loved it. The Cayman though is a different world entirely. Wish I could have both!
I see cars on this forum I could only dream of but my god am I happy with it. Don’t care about mileage or depreciation this thing gets pampered to death but driven too.

I had a Griffith 500 and really wanted to move on to the superb looking T350 but my old ankles just couldn’t get on with the bottom hinged floor pedals. You just can’t help looking back and admiring your own TVR after parking it, but the first time I sat in a Cayman it felt just right and my current Cayman S PDK is a joy to drive both on the road and on track. I hope you continue to enjoy your purchase.
