Boxster S 987.1, 3.4L EXHAUST REPLACEMENT
Discussion
I've got Carnewal GT back boxes coupled with Top gear 200cel stainless manifolds and AWE tips... Great combo in that the back boxes are modified OEM so fit is not compromised and don't result in drone. Manifolds were a superb fit and quality is astonishing for £1k. Noise is nice but not too much louder at low rpm but nail it and it really howls..
Performance seemed improved after fitting the manifolds. Hard to describe but it just seemed to rev more freely.. I can't believe you can get a better set up for less..
One point of note is if doing the manifolds beware that the old studs can sheer easily which means then getting them drilled out which can be a nightmare and best left to an Indy that's geared up for the job with a jig.
Hope this helps..
