Spyder Number Plates
Discussion
I am about to fit replacement number plates to my 718 Spyder and have noticed that the Standard fixing positions have the screws at the ends of the front plate but nearer the centre of the rear plate ........... noticeable on all the official Spyder rear pics .
Does anyone know the reason for this ? I may wish to bring the rear plate screws towards the ends to match the front plate but do not wish to cause any internal screw damage .

The screws will be through the rear bumper - so by moving the screws for aesthetics you're going to be making more holes.
The rear bumper has a slightly raised section in the middle - looks like to accommodate a US sized plate - if you put the screws outside of this the middle of the plate might bow a little around it.
The front is obviously screwed at the end because of the curve of the front bumper.
