GT4 rear sensors

I’m looking at first gen GT4s, 2015/16 and have found out that rear parking sensors weren’t even an option on these early cars for some reason.
I was talking to an OPC this week and they are prepping one and actually removing an aftermarket add on as “we can only retail cars to factory spec”.
I really don’t want one without these as you can’t see a thing out the back…

Anyone know when these became an option ?

They were never an option on the 981 GT4’s or Spyders as far as I know, only became available on the 718’s

That's correct. 981 Spyder had the option of a reversing camera active in the PCM. I can't seen why Porsche would not allow the OE reversing camera to be fitted to a 981GT4 and operate under the same principle? A lot of owners in the US have gone done the 3rd party rear camera/PCM route but they don't seem to bother with OPC warranty as much as we do.

That’s weird why would they do that, can’t be weight surely?
