Fuel for GT4

Apologies if this has been covered before but just wondering what people's preferences are for best fuel in their GT4's? Do people see any significant difference between standard unleaded vs. Shell V-Power for example? Clearly one can't always choose the fuel (especially in the middle of a Highlands road trip!) but interested to know what people think about the options?

I wouldn’t want to run a car like a gt4 on anything other than super, even our Mini jcw gets the same treatment, it’s not only power that’s improved but economy also.Try and always fill with any super (E5) but the odd tank of 95 (E10) won’t hurt.
To be honest I have not seen much difference between all the super petrol I put in ie shell, Tesco, Sainsburys and Morrisons but I do notice the car feels lethargic on 95!

Almost always V-Power for me, Super Unleaded if no Shell nearby but I tend to refill early if I think I might be nowhere near one when empty. I don't use 95 RON ever.

if you live in the south of England, then Esso Supreme is actually 0% ethanol, so you get more petrol for your money.

I have never put 95 RON in any of my performance cars. V Power or Tesco Momentum 99 for me.

I thought 95RON was not recommended for the GT4 according to the handbook. Should be run on premium 98RON minimum?

It should say inside the fuel filler flap too, and I think you might be right.

97 is the highest available in Ireland, mine doesn’t seem to mind. Even 97 is rare enough here.
