I've never met him nor cannot comment on his work. However, he has been in the Porsche community for at least 20 years. I originally came across him as an author on the 911 & Porsche world magazine in the early '00s.
On this basis alone I'd think he is an enthusiast and passionate about Porsche.

I popped in to them a couple of years back - really good experience and as has been said, Philip has a long reputation in the Porsche world, writing for magazines etc.
However, I think I would be going to Centre Gravity for the kind of thing you are talking about, but that is based on what I have heard of their good work rather than anything else!
