Am I correct in thinking this only make a difference when in 0 mode? I can't tell a difference in acceleration when in sport or sport + mode with or without the button pressed for 20 seconds.

Thanks for the link which states more power when pressed. I press it all the time in sports mode and can’t tell any difference.

You can also get the same effect as pressing the button by double stabbing the accelerator pedal
