987.2 2.9 oil

Hi Guys,

I have a boxster gen2 2.9 with 90k on the clock. It goes brilliantly but sounds a bit tappety when hot. I'm thinking of using a 10-50 oil over the notmal 0-40. Any thoughts welcome. Cheers Ben

Hi Ben,I have one also,987.2 2.9,51k miles,as with yours sounds a little ticky when hot,had it eight years now never been any different,I would stick with the thinner oil,you dont want a sticky lifter they are prone to,these 9A1 motors like it and all sound the same,regards.
