Gutted I missed out on this, called just as someone was viewing, gone now.

If anyone knows of anything similar in price and spec, please let me know. I do want those 20" 911 Turbo wheels though.

Wow. I didn't realise the 4 pots were that cheap!
Looks lovely though. That said, I'm sure if you can hold out you'll find another just as good !

If they can afford to sell it for that price they must have absolutely raped the previous owner.

Smacks of quiet December, year end approaching and desperate to convert some stock into cash.

There have been quite a few 718 Caymans for £32-34k on the Porsche Approved sight.

Some with pretty nice spec and 30k odd miles too.

Cambridge have had 3 or 4 now this year.

Oh, and I was looking at Cayman S's as well.

Just not many on there at the moment, mostly the stuff that has been for sale for ages.

Remember, many of those are now nearly 8 years old and could be had for £55k new. So not really that much of a bargain.

I just checked my saved cars and these two were nice.....

Thanks Ed, that’s really helpful, i see they’ve been cheaper, those are S models as well, AUC and low mileage. I’m in no rush so will wait it out.

I was offered another one which is due in, same colour but 20 inch Carrera wheels not 911 turbo wheel, however it did have extended leather in pebble grey, PASM, light design package, folding mirrors etc.

A lot of the cars on Porsche Approved don't end up on autotrader etc. they come on and go pretty quickly.

They do come up quite a lot though, so definitely check in.

With the 2 year warranty and the way they get prepped (or if you find anything it will be covered) you know you have a car that will feel like new.

Were these cars high mileage for 34k? Just wondering if I am searching correctly for Porsche used. Just looked at the cheapest I can find for a Cayman s is £41,850 at Newport.

Were these high mileage? No sure if I am searching correctly but the lowest price 718 I can find is £41,850 at Newport with 33500 miles.

The prices are all over the place.

I can see the same cars that were up at £45k still sat there but now at £40k, and still too expensive.

The new ones that are coming on tend to be a better price, but get snapped up quickly.

Porsche Preston had a lovely 31k mile 2.0T 718 in Carmine with pasm, pse, pcm and nav, 2017 so carplay (they probably all have carplay?) at £31950 and said they would do it for £31k.
That was manual though, which is my preference, I get the PDK is probably more desirable? I'm sure they are getting closer to the age where that shifts though.
The manual should be tested, the clutch is so nice and so light to use and the gear shift is just lovely.

I took one out at Cambridge to try and really liked it, but decided to buy another 997 instead and just keep it as a weekend thing.

But I would happily have a 718 in any guise.

I'd choose PASM over wheel style. I prefer the Carrera wheels anyhow.

How much was the one offered in the same colour, and its mileage?

I'm suspicious OPCs don't fix things to save money and then wait for the new owner to claim on the warranty.
This after our Macan S farce. In the end we sold it back to the supplying OPC after 8 months of misery, all covered under warranty but off the road for many weeks.

But the Macan isn't a real Porsche anyhow. My 2014 981 Cayman has been almost faultless.

If those wheels are a key factor, coupled with not many were optioned with them, then you could get a genuine set:

then sell whatever ones the car comes with to offset the cost.

Thanks for that, I’ve seen some on eBay for a similar amount, I’m actually okay with the Carrara 20” as I’m seen some in the flesh and much more common, too much hassle changing, appreciate you taking the time to reply.

The other one is £1k more but has 5k less miles, also got lots of other extras, folding mirrors, laminated door sils etc.

I’ve got a viewing in the new year, hopefully it will be okay. Some of the pictures of Graphite blue look really great, colour has a pop, looks metallic, other shots the paint looks dull and almost a solid colour.

I don't think they do anything other than look for anything obvious.

It is just another piece of stock. Most things you tend to find once you start living with it.

I know some folk are fussy about colour, specs and all that malarkey - I tend to buy cars on price, condition and service history. As for specs, PASM is one I’d have high up on the list. S vs base is irrelevant unless one is tracking the thing - if not, base will be plenty quick enough and should be cheaper on fuel and to buy.

It’s been a long time that I’ve gone out of my way to choose a car based on its colour. These high end cars are for the most part specced in conservative colours and have good quality paint. Their owners tend to look after them as well so condition tends to be up to scratch.

Each to their I guess.
