Would appreciate some input on brake upgrade options. My BGTS needs new front discs/pads and I’ve always found them ok but not quite as I’d like them. Be researching options and would welcome some input.but I have both a performance and aesthetic upgrade ambition.

Options as I see them;

1. Girodisc 350/330mm floating discs, pads of choice & braided lines.
2. As above but with a 718/991 either 4 or 6 pot caliper upgrade.
3. Alcon 380/350mm kit from Paragon brakes in US.
4. Brembo Radical 380/350mm kit - seen these on a few Cayman R’s and they look stunning.

Price escalates with the options from about £3k to £7k. No I don’t ‘need’ this much braking capability but with 20” wheels the aesthetic disappoints me hugely and I’m a serial car modder so not afraid to get involved speed wise.

Welcome input from people who have upgraded with pros/cons.

Thank you

I think you mean AP Radical from Essex, not Brembo ?

I'd go the option 1 & 2 route.

No I mean the Brembo GT kit, my mistake.

What’s your reasoning for recommending option 1 or 2?

It's a common and well regarded upgrade, albeit from memory the front calipers don't enable quick pad changes without unbolting and removing them.
If you're doing frequent pad changes, consider installing a front caliper stud kit to preserve the threads in the alloy front uprights.

If you're considering going all in and fitting either the Brembo or AP kits, I'd go with AP kit.
