Hi,

Looking at a 2017 Macan GTS and noticed it has the ’Sport’ button but not ‘Sport Plus’…

A quick Google suggests it can be retro fitted, however all the posts I can find seem to be US based.

Anyone know for sure if this can be done in the UK and who’s be best to go to?

Based in the Midlands.

Cheers

My last Macan GTS had Sport Plus and after trying it a couple of times the novelty wore off and I just kept it in Sport most of the time. It might be worth trying a car with Sport Plus before spending any money as you might be disappointed.

Thanks.

Did it ramp up the exhaust noise another notch?

In the Cayman GTS it makes it even more vocal with additional cracks etc, don’t always have it on as it’s a tad antisocial, but fun now and again…

Not that I noticed. I did keep the sports exhaust on most of the time and it sounded great. The main problem I had with Sport Plus was it made the transmission shunt quite violently between shifts and it all felt a bit uncouth. For the extra .2 of a second here and there and it just felt a bit pointless on an SUV.

Having said that my current 4.0 Boxster does sound slightly better in Sport Plus but then that's strangled by the GPF so even our 981 Cayman sounds better without turning the sports exhaust on smile

Thanks again thumbup

Hopefully done a deal on a Macan GTS, without Sports Plus.

If I feel like it needs it at least there’s options out there!

We have it on our Macan GTS and use it now and then for fun. It’s a nice to have more than a necessity. Makes a great noise and the GTS is a great drive / handling imo for a SUV

Congratulations. I'm sure you'll love it, they are quite brilliant for an SUV and as you say you can always add later if you want to.

That doesn't sound right as Sports+ map removes the crackles from overrun to make it purely tuned for performance

Sports+ retrofit won't give you the clock

The retrofit is here on Porsche Tequipment, looks like it's £520 although treat this as a pinch of salt & get the quote from an OPC first as it will often be the 'starting' price

If doing a deal then they might retrofit at cost

Ended up getting a later heavily specified facelift car in the end, with Sports Chrono and pretty much every option ticked…. With the newer looks, better tech, nicer wheels etc etc it made sense in the end.

Car is being delivered on Wednesday, really looking forward to this one!

Thanks for the replies thumbup

Congratulations and enjoy.

I'd be interested to hear your views on Sport Plus once you've tried it a few times.

Got the Macan yesterday, it’s absolutely immaculate and even better than I was expecting biggrin

Going on a decent run out this evening so I’ll test out the Sports Chrono and PSE noise, but so far I’m delighted with it.

It does not drive like an SUV smokin
