Cayenne S 957 brake switch location
Discussion
Hi All,
Was hoping for some help. My 2006 Cayenne S 957 won’t start. It’s not a battery issue (no ticking sound, won’t crank, I even have a jump pack attached)
The dash displays the message ‘press brake pedal’ and a small yellow ‘X’ appears on the dash. It also sometimes displays ‘brake proportioning’
Even if I am pressing the pedal the sign stays on. My brake lights don’t work (I checked fuse 38 and 46 and both look fine) and I can’t change into Neutral.
I’ve looked for instructions to change the brake switch but they are all American and are not the same as my car. They all seem to have the brake switch on a frame around the upper brake pedal arm (once I remove the lower trim) I have no such switch around the plastic frame.
Does anyone know where it is and even what the part number is so I can replace it?
Thanks!
