low mileage, appealing colour combo & targa - but is it slightly punchy price wise ?
thoughts appreciated

You include targa in the list of positives, which it isn't IMHO. I'd see it more favourably as a coupe, though it would still be expensive. I don't see value in the impact bumper cars with the current prices.

Its stunning and I can see the attraction of a targa for nice bright days. Right money is £35k-£40k IMO.

Howard Wise cars have a very nice cabriolet I almost bought in exactly the same colour combo with even less miles. Its £40k - I've been to see it and its and an absolute minter. If I had more room in my garage I would have bought it.

"Celebration" really, looks like a standard narrow body targa. Which at £53k...punchy, that's daylight robbery.

I'd suggest it should be nearer £30k, it's not a coupe.

Well here are two. Narrow body 3.2 Targas aren't exactly rare. Guess it depends on whether you want to store it or drive it.

Personally I'd take a higher mileage car that's been used and keep some cash for an engine rebuild and maintenance.

A friend of mine bought new a G50 coupe back in 88, had her serviced every year and sold her at 230k miles. Raged her twice a year around the Ring plus UK tracks, and all she was suffering from was various oil leaks when he sold her. Neither really are high mileage on a 3.2. Who needs dosh for a rebuild on either.
I'd be buying the higher milege one and enjoy. Saying that, I still think 28k for a Targa? Wow.

thanks for all the pointers - think higher mileage is the way to go with these air cooled engines - as i intend to drive it fairly often.
Now for some test drives smile
