Ever since I was little the flat nose has been on my list.
The first time I saw it was in Condorman, see here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MAtervTgpys (sorry its the German version, but I thought it worth it for the HD).

Perhaps I am destined to be the leader of the baddies smile

Rare as they are I think the slantnose cars have really dated, not my cup of tea.

+1 I personally wouldn't even pay £45k for that. Prefer the regular 930. Pics make the car look tatty and the wheels the vendor has on the car are completely chavtastic and cheap. Sorry fail loser

My wife has one of these and they are special in Porsche terms, confused in wider terms. It's growing on me but it still has an element of Peugeot body kit about it.

Not sure if this is directed to me, and even more unsure of the answer if the question is for me! Here's my wife's car -

Her father bought it a long time ago and has driven about 30 miles in 15 years - awesome :/

That looks like a really straight car even from the crappy pics and it has fantastic provenance. By way of comparison the car in OPs link looks tatty. Very very rare car the 911 Turbo SE Cab. Bit of a unicorn actually. If its a US spec car they got a bit less power 280bhp vs full 330 bhp of Euro Spec Cars. I'm impressed your wife uses it - very mechanical car with heavy steering.

Is it a genuine factory car?

Gotta +1 on that, the slant/flat nose really hasn't aged well!

As for not even paying half of the advertised price, whilst I was struggling to understand what makes it a 90k car (perhaps the Andial stuff?) is there something fundamentally wrong with it?

No just doesn't look like nice one but that could be the pics - no interior shots either. £90k laughable but some poor mug will probably buy it. The cab was owned by the present owners Father and he's handed it down to her. Bet its lovely car.

Being an 80's kid i am a flatnose fan smile

circa £135/45k new and that was 30 years ago!!!!

However I instantly dismiss any Porsche that has aftermarket Halfords wheels or indeed Porsche originals but from the next model. It shows that the car has been owned by fools at some point and god knows what other parts they saw fit to replace with chocolate fish or tangerines smile

SE.
The way I remember it is FlatnoSE.

The LE was the limited edition (the flatnose wasn't limited production) with the regular round lights but without the sill extensions.

Fair enough. Agreed no interior pics and non-original wheels is strange. Was hoping to be educated on why its not worth the advertised price..... I initially it put it down to the general rise of the air-cooled market and possible rarity (or not it seems?!) of a flat nose. I wouldn't have one.... perhaps these are an.... acquired taste.

As for 'some poor mug', I guess any buyer will know what they're looking for and won't be paying double what its worth (if your valuation is anything to go by).

I don't like them. They had a purpose for racing. If I'm correct, the dip between the two 911 front wings could cause lift from crosswinds when racing thus the flatnose was more efficient.

Either way it's I daresay more aerodynamic but looks wise is a fail.

It's a product of the decadent conspic consump 80's. I liken them to a baggy Miami Vice or MC Hammer Suit!!

Hi fashion at the time can be an epic fail 30 years later!!

People smothered in cr@ppy tattoo's take note!!

For those on a limited budget. Copious amounts of OMFGG.

For those blind here's another. I like the epic Freudian slip "Rimspeed"!!!! Yes you'll look a right royal sphincter in this epic motorised grotesque abortion of a Ferdinand produkt! To quote "it won't be to everyone's taste". Who exactly will desire this thing? Maybe a Borat type who's just getting into Guns and Roses

Any factory car with a slantnose is a limited production car. The LEs had plaques, but equally, Special Wishes built some for clients too.
