Best seats for a 993....
Discussion
There is an American company that make a slide & tilt mount for the recaro buckets, quite how much space it creates to get little people in & out of is debatable I guess (ie, in an M3 CSL there was enough space but in a 993?).
You'd have to imagine, if you wanted them out in an emergency, would you be happy wih it?
On phone so will link later...

Cracking seats, and light too. If you want them custom trimmed, or the frame latticework in a different, less obvious colour, speak directly to Mark at Cobra, he's always very helpful.http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/performance/seats-re...
I searched long and hard ....... I wanted the tilt action as well.
Hi OC
The Cobra Misano look great, tilt and are UK built which is nice. However I looked at a lot of them, and in nearly every case, just with minor use the seats were starting to show wear which was surprising. I couldn't stretch to leather, but I've been told they scuff pretty quickly also. Lastly, if however you still want a set (and they do look pretty damn cool), ring the factory in Telford. They seemed to be well up for a deal, especially if I went up in person and bought and took away that day.
The Recaro Sportsa CS are another option. These are tilting race seats and were OE in the MINI GP (Of which I once owed one of them). These are lovely lovely seats and I've been informed they will fit a 993; though eventually I thought they looked maybe a bit too modern. Just one word of warning. Around the twisties of the Pyrenees after a week they basically fell apart and MINI had to repair them under warranty, so not sure they are so well built.
I have of yet still not bought a set of seats, (I have enough to spend on other things trying to keep my 911 on the road) and I think when I do, if they move forward enough to get into the back I think I'll go Pole Position or Furious......
Though I do still like the look of the Misanos.

Mark will trim the Misano in just about any material you want. He did a pair of Sparcos for my 1M Coupe in Dinamica (the alcantara like material Porsche and Bentley now use) He'll also do separate bolster protectors too if that's a concern.Hi OC

OC I just fitted my Pole Positions ( the red ones in that photo above) in the 993 for my Spa trip, you can slide them so far forward I managed to get a 265\35\18 tyre in through the gap to the rear so your lad's should be able to still get in ,also you can always buy hinged runners for TD seats
