1979 Euro SC - Going EFI?
Discussion
Hello. Got a 911 SC 1979 Model, Bilstein B6 Clubsport suspension and Elephant Racing polybushings on Pilot Exalto rubber.
I got a freshly built engine with Mahle 9.8;1 pistons, Dougherty Racing 964 cams, SSI 2-1 , Dansk sports exhaust all the usual upgrades etc - Bruce Anderson recipe for 220-230 bhp really - this is a Euro SC 79 model, no sunroof. Goes like the clappers, but I cant help but feel a bit tempted going full EFI on it.
What would people recommend? Reckon 250 bhp maybe? twin plug, slightly more aggressive cams - stick with the new pistons. Would love ITBs with the telepathic throttle response, as we all know CIS is a bit lazy in that respect.
Had a lovely conversation with Nick Fulljames at Redtek, But others are saying BSmotorsport are also ok?
Thanks for the advice

I'm a Redtek customer and a firm fan. The PMO TB injection setup that Nick uses seems to produce astonishing results and Nick is a genius at picking the right combination of cams and induction to get astonishing results. He also knows how to set a car up to drive brilliantly.
He's just finishing a 1989 3.8 wide-body monster for me. I drove it this weekend for the first time and I was blown away. Not only does the engine rip your head off with instant acceleration, the car is more chuckable than anything I've driven (apart from the last Redtek car I drove). Makes my 1981 SC and the 993 before them seem like lardy puddings by comparison.
I'll be EFI'ing my SC next!
So yes, I'm a big supporter of a genuinely really nice guy who delivers the goods.

9;8.1 pistons by Mahle fine even when going EFI? They cost a packet alright brand new so I`d really like to keep em!
Im not doing it so much for the gains ( although 25 extra bhp wouldnt go amiss) but for the wonderful instant throttle response, maybe a lightweight flywheel too what you guys reckon.

Had a good look round a BS Motorsport 911 RSR Replica at Classics on the Common yesterday. Have a look at the pics.
