Porsche 968 electrical conundrum
Discussion
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Looking for any assistance here.
Until 5 minutes ago my 968 was dead. Inserting the key into the ignition and attempting to start the car brought up absolutely no lights on the dashboard at all - nothing, nor any clicking electrical type noises coming from anywhere.
I pulled a couple of fuses to check them - only 30 amp fuses, no real idea of what I was doing and low and behold the car now starts. No problems at all.
Any ideas?
Cheers,
Stu

Corrosion is your most likely enemy. Clean off all contacts in the fuse board, & maybe replace the fuses. Had this with a 944 fuel pump years ago, no power to the pump on morning - a little cleaning of the connections on the fuse board and a replacement fuse (not blown, just corroded), all was well. It also struck the air flow meter on the same 944, leading to massive over-fueling at idle. A little light cleaning and all was well again.
