I’m looking at a couple of 1970 911 T,s 2.2 litre , 911 sc,s and 964,s. I really like the 1970 T.s but I guess the later cars would drive better. The early cars I believe look like they are dropping a bit as with many makes.
I’m not looking as an investment to make money but be nice not to drop a lot. The drive and nostalgia is more important to me.
What are your thoughts

The three generations of 911 drive very differently. It's really up to you to decide which you like.
Very hard to give advice.

Love the looks of the 964 and pre impact bumpers. But all will drive differently.

As long as you don’t pay silly money you should be ok, assuming prices don’t crash. I would guess the 964 would be fairly safe all round place to enjoy 911 ownership.

Hi Im looking at around 60-70K. I have seen a couple of 1970 911T which are tempting. Have a soft spot for a targa as we plan on moving to France/Spain. And a left hand drive model would be preferred. As far as the 964 I would prefer a 2 wheel drive. I don't mind a backdated or hot-rodded car.

I'm biased as an ex 964 Targa owner, so that's my choice. LHD 964's have a better driving position than RHD, as the pedal offset is less.

G50 3.2 Carrera Coupe.

As others have said drive them and see which you like.

Simpler, lighter and lower powered to heavier and more powerful. No right or wrongs just what you prefer.

In the UK, a LHD Targa of any variant will probably be the least desirable, so offers potentially better value.

Agree that the G50 Carrera 3.2 would be a very good consideration - nice mix of classic and modern - and don't dismiss the Cabriolet.

Best buys are likely to be after the summer, but don't buy anything without an expert PPI.
