Just acquiring a 996 C4S, 2003.

Does this qualify for the classic Porsche thread yet?

I see 993 here, but is there objection to water flowing round the engine ?

At 15 years old it’s hardly a spring chicken, and with the wonderful wide body and red boot strip it is considered one of the best looking

Thoughts ?

If not now then definitely a future classic.

996's are classed as modern classics in my eyes. You won't see many owned by non-enthusiasts.

I think the 996 shape - including the 996.1 are aging very well, like most 911.

The C4S is the best of them too, wide body With pure lines not broken up by vents.

In driving terms they offer that now sort after “feel”, which as roads get busier and the penalty for speed harsher is a more involved way to enjoy a car than outright speed.
