Porsche Approved Tyres for Classics.
Discussion
Gents, hoping someone can point me in the direction of the current approved tyre list for Porsche Classic cars? I'm sure it used to be available via the Porsche website but I can't currently locate it.
I'm looking for 225/50 16's and 245/45 16's for a 928. The choice in 245/45 is slim, and when you do locate a tyre in that size they often aren't available in a 225/50. Currently on Trofeo R's but looking for a second set in a more road biased pattern. Pirelli looks like it may be the only current option.
Thanks all.

I think this is the last available list. Let mw know if you can't read it. I have it as a pdf and have tried to save it as a jpeg.

That's fab - thanks. So looks like P-Zero Rosso, P-Zero Trofeo R (which I have), or Continental ContiSportContact.
I do like the Trofeo R's but for my second set of wheels I'd be happy with the Continental's - so far I haven't been able to find a set.
245/16 has always been a limited choice. I have used Continental for the last 15 years.
But either they are no longer available or there is no stock. The new Pirelli’s look about twice the price.
I have been running N rated, which does seem pointless since the car predates the rating. Always got them from Camskill and got a local guy to fit them.
Could fun when it comes to the next set.

I think the Continentals are no longer available.
I made exhaustive efforts to get a set of the Conti N2s in 205/55 and 225/50 16s, and they no longer seem to exist (unless anyone on here knows differently)
Whilst ‘N’ spec would be nice, I’m not that keen on the Pirelli alternative. And, agree, I do not believe N spec offers any particular advantages on the classic models.

I emailed Camskill last week to check if they perhaps had some additional stock which wasn't noted on their website - that was a NO.
As it stands, in a 245/45, they have the P-Zero Rosso (N rated) or a Toyo TR1. The Pirelli is the only tyre that they also have in a 225/50.
The other option is to perhaps go with 225/50 all round.

These tyres are manufactured again by Pirelli. Tested by Porsche and they have the N homologation.

Ahh....looked at these a couple of weeks ago. Ridiculous prices, £322 rears and £298 fronts. Cheers.
