964 Door stap check replacement

HELP....Grateful for some more help required. As part of my post on body work recommendations I also need some advice regards Door check strap replacement. My Cardiff based Porsche specialist has had a lot of difficulty ,not quite sure how to do it ! . The aftermarket kit didn't work ?. Does anyone have any experience of this . I've had a look on line but most refer to 993, which I understand to be different . I wonder if anyone has done this or can share a link ?. I am temped to get the body work and door straps done at the same time with the body work specialist which have been recommended to me ..Thanks in advance

I got mine done at the same time as I had the bodywork remedied.

Hi if you pm me,I am also based in Cardiff.
My body shop can repair this without any issues,if it's same failure as 993.

Thanks Chris . I've been told that 993 is different to 964 I am totally perplexed ! Happy to speak what's your email address?

The replacement part (not sure that anyone actually does replace the part) is the same for 964 and 993.

Door arrester 964 537 057 00.
