Hyper-sensitive horn
Discussion
Strange one this. My 993 has a horn so sensitive that under heavy braking it starts honking the horn - a little embarassing. Anyone had this or got any ideas? Seems to be more sensitive on the right side of the steering wheel - it only takes a very light touch to beep the horn rather than an actual full press...

Check the metal horn frame under the airbag, there are rubber washers that fail over time, you can diy with some thick o rings, or replace the whole frame, it’s not a super expensive part.
You’ll need to remove the airbag, held in place with several small bolts.
Thanks - yes a quick scan of YouTube shows how easy it is, assuming the bolts all come off after 27 years...You’ll need to remove the airbag, held in place with several small bolts.
