Fitting 944 radiator grill - advice please!
Discussion
My 944 is missing its radiator grill so I've acquired one from a breaker's yard. I'm pretty sure it's the right part but I'm not sure how to fit it. It's not wide enough (by about 50mm) to bolt directly into what I guess are the mounting holes (roughly indicated on the first pic, detail in the second pic). I'm thinking there must be some brackets missing, but before I start fabricating some (or using zipties), are there any 944 owners here who can advise or send pics of how theirs are attached?
My car is a 1988 2.5l, if the part is model specific (I don't think it is).
Any help gratefully received!

944 559 135 00.
Thanks Larry, sounds like you know your onions! That's fine though, I can return the part. I suspect I'll need to make something up myself then - shouldn't be too hard with some mesh from Ebay - unless anyone has the actual part lying around available to buy

Hmm, the part number looks right for the age. It's upside down in your picture and should fit under the bumper at the front of the aperture - see here:-

From what I remember the lugs fit into holes in the lower lip of the valance and then the screws secure it to the opening. That cut-out in the grille showing lower right in your photo should actually be top left and is there to clear the towing eye.

There is no grille on a 944. Just some plastic ducting around the perimeter.
Is that right? It's awfully exposed if true - I needed a replacement radiator last year because a piece of gravel had gone through it like Magnum .44 round. I have a vague recollection that there was something protecting it prior to that but can't be certain.
